Furnace Maintenance Plans in Kokomo, Indiana
Every furnace manufacturer requires annual professional maintenance to keep the parts warranty valid, and every Kokomo winter proves why: the no-heat calls we run in January are mostly dirty flame sensors, cracked ignitors and clogged condensate lines that a fall visit would have caught. The Summers maintenance plan puts your furnace and air conditioner on a schedule, a heating tune-up each fall and a cooling tune-up each spring, with priority scheduling when something does go wrong. Plans are available to homeowners across Howard and Tipton counties.

What the Summers Maintenance Plan Includes
The Safty & Comfort Agreement is $13.99 per month and covers:
- A fall furnace tune-up and a spring AC tune-up every year (same checklist as the one-time $65 furnace tune-up)
- Priority scheduling: members move to the front of the line during a cold snap
- Discount all furnace repair and AC repair parts and labor
- No after-hours surcharge for members
- A written report after each visit with photos of the heat exchanger and burners
- Reminder calls so you never miss the window that keeps the warranty valid
What We Check on a Furnace Maintenance Visit
Heat exchanger inspection with a camera, burners and flame sensor cleaned, ignitor tested, gas pressure and combustion checked, blower cleaned and amp-tested, capacitor tested, safety switches and limit tested, condensate line cleared, filter replaced with a customer-supplied or standard filter, thermostat calibrated, and a carbon monoxide reading at the registers.
Why Annual Maintenance Matters More in Kokomo
A furnace in Howard County runs roughly from early October to late April, longer than most of the country, so it accumulates more hours per year. Add the dust from the farm fields around Sharpsville and Greentown in the fall and the humidity swings of an Indiana spring, and a furnace that isn’t cleaned annually loses efficiency fast. Members typically see fewer breakdowns and a longer life out of the same equipment.
Maintenance for the Rest of the House
The plan covers the furnace and air conditioner (the spring visit is the AC tune-up). Many Kokomo members add water heater maintenance to the same visit; a flush once a year is the difference between a 10-year and a 15-year tank in our hard water.

Furnace Maintenance Plan FAQs
What’s the difference between a tune-up and the maintenance plan?
A tune-up is a single $65 fall visit. The plan is a yearly membership that includes the fall furnace tune-up and the spring AC tune-up, plus priority scheduling and repair discounts. If you own both a furnace and an AC, the plan costs less than booking the two visits separately.
When should I schedule furnace maintenance in Kokomo?
September or early October, before the first freeze and before the rush. Members are scheduled automatically; we call you.
Does maintenance really keep my warranty valid?
Yes. Lennox, Carrier, Trane and the other major brands require proof of annual professional maintenance to honor the parts warranty. We keep the records and provide them if you ever need a claim.
Can I transfer the plan if I sell my house?
Yes, the remaining term transfers to the new owner, which is a selling point on a Kokomo listing. Call the office with the closing date.
What if my furnace breaks between visits?
Members get priority scheduling and the plan discount on the repair. If it fails within the season after a tune-up, the No Breakdown Guarantee covers the service call.
